别再用“Just so so”表示“一般般”了，老外才不这么说呢！

日常生活中我们经常会遇到那些回答不出所以然的问题

比如当别人询问考试成绩、感情状况等等时

只能说个“一般吧”

换作英语，

我们都知道“so-so”表示一般般，就那样子呗

然后大家就以为英文里也可以用“Just so-so ”来回答这些问句？

别再错下去啦！

Just so-so到底实不实用？

However, although one might say "Just so-so" meaning something like "only, or not better than, average", it is not an idiom or set collocation of words, so I agree that you are not likely to hear it very often.

也可以这么说：

Can't complain, you?

没什么好抱怨(一般般)，你呢?

还过得去(一般般)，你呢?

Not so hot

not so hot可不是“没那么热”!

hot在这里表示程度很高很好，

not so hot意思是“没那么好”，

口语中表示“一般般、不怎么好”。

例：

A：How do you feel?

你感觉怎么样?

B：Not so hot. I think I have a cold.

不怎么样，我觉得我感冒了。

sort of

sort有“种类、类别”的意思，

口语中，sort of 和kind of一样，

可以表示“一点点，一般般”。

例：

A：Do you like this song?

你喜欢这首歌吗?

B：Sort of.

一般般。

not bad

not bad意思是“不好、不坏”，

也就是我们常说的“一般般，还可以”。

例：

A：How do you feel about the taste of this dish?

你觉得这道菜的味道如何?

B：Not bad.

一般般，还行。

average

表示：平均的、一般的。

例：

I was only average academically.

我的学习成绩一般。

另外，average-looking可以表示：

相貌平平，长得一般般。

She was middle aged, pretty, average-looking.
